Welcome to Monogatari Art Commisions!
~ Telling Meaningful Stories Through Art ~
Here’s what’s going to happen …
You may fill out the form at the bottom of this page as an inquiry. Don’t worry if you’re not sure about all the little details yet — like backgrounds, providing reference images, the exact way it should look, etc. Those things can be negotiated later via email or social DMs 🙂
The purpose of this form is simply to see if working together on your project would be viable. So don’t stress about it! Commissioning an artist can and should be a fun experience. I look forward to reading your responses and getting back to you if a creative partnership is viable!
Sound good?
This is what I will draw … 🙂
My heart as an artist and the creator of Monogatari Art Commissions is to help my clients see their vision of their characters and stories come to life in an emotionally engaging and beautiful way.
This includes chibis, bust-and-up portraits, full body portraits, and character illustration sheets currently. More information on that in a second.
This is what I will not draw… :
I won’t draw NSFW, gore, blood, or any romantic scenes beyond kissing. I won’t draw animals as a general rule, or particularly complex backgrounds (think cityscapes or fantasy landscapes like Alan Lee paints.) I won’t draw vehicles. I won’t draw fan art — the character must be original, for copyright reasons.
If you think I’m a good fit for your project …
In the next few images, you can see which of my styles and illustration types suits your project best, as well as get a price estimate. The final price will depend on many factors we can chat about if you decide to commission me, but this will hopefully help you know if my base price range is viable for you 🙂
First of all, which style would suit your concept art better?
You may want both, but just pick the one you’d want for the first piece you’re thinking of commissioning now 🙂
There are two styles, and this illustration shows them side by side: sketch vs rendered.
What sort of concept art would you like? Guide With Pictures Below :)
Chibis are cute and expressive — great for gifts or stickers! Sketch Price: $30 USD. Rendered Price: $85 USD.
Busts are standard and give a good look at your character, especially their personality. Sketch Price: $85 USD. Rendered Price: $140 USD.
Full Body is amazing for epic poses and seeing your character’s full outfit! Sketch Price: $120 USD. Rendered Price: $285 USD.
A Character Reference Sheet is the ultimate visual guide to your character. Front, side, and back view + two headshots in emotions of your choosing, this is like what you’d see in a concept art book from Disney or Nintendo! Sketch Price: $255 USD. Rendered Price: $340 USD.
